Science Mini-Charts: review cards at the tip of your fingers

This versatile new line of science resources for 4th and 5th grade teachers was created to help solve common issues.

What can I do if a student was absent during a lab or activity?

How can I meet students’ 504 and IEP accommodations?

How can I provide support to new students and have missed material I previously taught?

What can I provide to students in need of additional visual supports or ready-made notes to reinforce the lesson or activity?

Enter Science Mini-Charts, resources available on TpT to help you!

Science Mini-Charts: a solution for absent students, accommodations, and review

Absent Students

Science Mini-Charts Reference
Storage Solution: Click the pic to download the container covers!  See the containers on Amazon (affiliate link).

Keep a page of each set of cards on hand for absent students.

While the card cannot replace instruction, students can still get the “big idea” from the lesson they missed in a short period of time.

After gluing the card in their notebook and reviewing the information, the absent student completes Output.  See more ideas to help students who were absent.

Interactive Notebook Notes

Use these cards with your whole class or just select students.  The cards can be used as reference. Either glue them in notebooks or keep them in an envelope in notebooks for each unit.

Try using the cards with students who are new to your campus during the year or students who need to review material from previous years.

Reference Review Cards

Do you have students who need to review previously learned content? Print a set or two to keep in the classroom.  Punch holes in the corner and put on a binder ring, place in plastic sleeves, or keep them in a recipe envelope.

Accommodations

Do you have students with 504 plans or IEPs who need to be provided with copies of classroom notes? These cards can help. Print one off for each student who would benefit from having ready-made notes to reinforce your lesson or activity.

Language

Do you have a student who is a native Spanish speaker? The Science Mini-Charts are also available in Spanish!

    • Hi Lisa,

I’m not doing a growing bundle with definite release dates for the mini-charts sets. However, I do release each set at a lower price for the first few days so those that purchase them along the way still end up getting the resources at a discount. I’m working on Energy now. 🙂

  1. I have your mini-chart bundle, but I would like to know about the storage case that you have pictured. Where is that from?
