Will the groundhog see his shadow?  Will there be 6 more weeks of winter?  Groundhog Day brings up a great topic for young learners: shadows!

Students investigate how a shadow changes throughout the day.  They can investigate their own shadows or the shadows of an object.  Will it change shape?  Will it change length?  Will it change direction?  They will find out!
