I’m not much for schmaltz, but I am feeling especially thankful right now. 2014 has been full of surprise and new experiences. For someone that has spent most of my life dreading change, I actually took it in stride this year because all of the changes were positive. Here’s my thankful list.
I’m thankful for the changes. I left the classroom and turned from teaching students to teaching teachers. Shifting to blogging, creating resources, and working with teachers has been pretty amazing.
I’m thankful for the teachers who inspire me to be my best self and do my best work. I’m lucky that my passion benefits other people.
I am thankful for the people in my life. Adam and I had a great Year 2/3 of NOT living 1500 miles away from each other. Family is well. Little ones were born. I made new friends.
I’m thankful for the biggest surprise of the year. I GOT A SISTER! A little DNA testing at 23andme revealed that I have a half sister that is 2 years younger than me. We met in October when she came to visit me. After growing up as an only child, the whole idea was pretty mind boggling. I honestly couldn’t ask for a cooler, more down-to-Earth person to have added into my life. 🙂
What are you thankful for?
