Update Your Digital Inquiries and Choice Menus

Because some links we provided in our Digital Inquiry and Choice Menu resources are no longer available as of December 2023, we have updated these resources to include different activities.

You MUST take action for Digital Inquiry and Choice Menus to work correctly. If you do not update, the Google Slides you assign to students will not work.

Just The Basics

You must:

  1. Re-download your Digital Inquiry and/or Choice Menu resources.
  2. Open the PDF in Adobe Reader and scroll to page 3 (for Digital Inquiry) or page 4 or 5 (for Choice Menus).
  3. Use the links to make new copies of the updated Google Slides. Now the updated resource is in your Google Drive!

These resources were updated:

  1. ALL 10 Digital Choice Menus
  2. 19 Digital Inquiries for 4th and 5th Grade including-

NOTE

While there are 37 Digital Inquiries available, only the 19 DIs listed above require an update. The others do not need to be updated to function properly.

Digital Inquiry Jr. (DIJR) for 3rd grade does not require an update.

Troubleshooting a Google Error Screen

If you see a message from Google that a Google Slides has an error, here are a few things you can do to troubleshoot:

  • Try again later— Sometimes Google is glitchy
  • Make sure outside Google files have not been blocked by your district (this happens a lot)
  • Logout of Google Drive and sign in only to your teacher account
  • Try accessing it on a personal computer
  • Update your Adobe Reader (this is free to update)
  • Copy the error screen URL and paste it into an incognito/private window, then sign in to Google when prompted
