I love Austin Pets Alive! They take over when the city can’t handle the animals brought to them. Instead of putting animals down, they rehabilitate, care for, and adopt out animals. They are working to make Austin a no-kill city.
I have two spoiled fur babies. Rommel is 8 years old. Rommel’s first home was a ditch near my apartment in college. She was about 6 weeks old when she came home with me. She was very skittish, but she gave in during a flash flood when the little ditch got filled up with water. Rommel is still very fearful and neurotic, but she gives into tummy rubs from me.
I adopted Lennon about a year later from an Austin Pets Alive event. Lennon is 7. She has a crooked tail and is very, very sweet. She’s overly trusting and adjusts to people and new things easily. She’s the one I’m betting on to take to toilet training when they start in a couple of weeks! 🙂
My cats are healthy and safe, but I want to help the pets that aren’t as lucky.
I am donating all money earned on Saturday, July 6 at The Science Penguin store on TpT to Austin Pets Alive!
