What are input and output in science notebooks? Input is a teacher-chosen method of sharing information. Output is a student-chosen method of sharing information. After/ during and input activity, students can write their output. Learn more about Output Ideas.
Vocabulary- Students can just copy down vocabulary or do something a bit fancier with their vocabulary. I use pre-made vocabulary charts and sometimes have students draw them in their notebooks. Frayer and Marzano vocabulary models are great, too!
Lab Write-Ups, Experiments, and Science Stations- Any classroom lab activities you do are great for science notebooks. I also have students glue their Science Weekly Five or BIG Science Unit Stations booklets in their journals.
If you’re interested, I offer a lot of input activities in my TpT Store. Science Notebook Resources
